MAHWAH, N.J.—May Hamalainen , 88, Mahwah, formerly of Saddle Brook, died on Thursday, Nov. 19.
Hamalainen was a homemaker first and foremost, but she also worked for 20 years as a medical receptionist with Dr. Boris Schwartz in Paterson.
Her husband Vincent Hamalainen died in 1981.
She is survived by a son, Ray V. Hamalainen and his wife Sheri; Gary R Hamalainen; grandchildren Erin, Vincent, Kara and Jamie; and the her sister of Grace Illian and her husband, Norman.
Another son, Robert L Hamalainen died in 2010.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home 113 South Farview Ave. in Paramus.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Paramus, with the interment at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus
